SAFARI PRIVILEGE 2012

Exclusive to guests staying in the lodges is the Safari Privilege, an amazing opportunity for families or small groups of up to 6 to go behind the scenes with an English speaking guide to really get up close with the animals and even help with their feeding.  If you are brave enough, you will be able to touch the rhino!  How cool is that?
The price is only 69 Euro per family - book early for this privileged opportunity.
Also during the summer months and once the park is closed, families from the lodges can assist in the night time feeding of the wolves. A chance to discover how the wolves live
(5 Euro per person)
The aim of the "Privilege Visit" is to introduce visitors to the background and daily working of the park. Accompanied by a personal guide, you will discover the different management techniques used in order to improve the health, well-being, comfort and happiness of all the animals living here. You will discover how we take blood samples or do foot care to the rhinos without using anesthetic drugs. How we manage, day to day, of one of the most dangerous African animals: the Lion. The guide will show you that this is not only a place to discover endangered animals but that the main objectives of the zoological park is to breed the species whilst avoiding inbreeding, to protect the species in the wild and to educate visitors on these species. As a guest at the Safari Village you have the unique opportunity to enter into our world during your stay and experience a "Safari Privilège"

Here are a few things some of our younger visitors said about their Safari adventure:
“ Our visit to the safari park was my best holiday ever. Best of all was when we got to go into the park with Frederic as he knew all the animals and how to get into their enclosures. I stroked a baby rhino. It felt very funny. Bambi the baby deer was my favorite. She was so friendly and came up to be stroked all the time. Frederic knew all the animals and we were the only ones in the park and got to see them really, really close, even the lions because he fed them bits of meat. When I grow up I want to be a vet or work in a safari park like Frederic “

"Touching the rhino's horn was really good - and I felt under his knobbly skin to the smooth bit underneath. It was great."

“When I told my friends I had touched a big rhino they didn’t believe me they said if I had I would be dead”

“My granddad says we can come again.  He liked the lions and tigers best but we liked feeding the animals.  One day it rained and the goat pushed Jack over and he fell in a puddle and it was funny.”

"I liked the wallabies, they watched us eat breakfast and then ate my bread."
